My mother named me Janelle, but you can catch me performing as Laila Blake (@laila_blake, lailablake@gmail.com) I’m an alternative singer/songwriter and currently, a college student living in Philadelphia, PA. I’m originally from the Bronx in New York City.

When I’m not writing papers or songs of my own, I freelance as a photographer and sing as a member of OFF THE BEAT (@UpennOffTheBeat), a modern-rock a cappella group that might just make you rethink the genre. This blog is a collection of my photographs, videos and a variety of other things that inspire me.

I’m just made to create and worship my creator so I hope you enjoy and share these thoughts with others.
